Meet the speaker:

Esperanza Rivera de Torre

Esperanza Rivera de Torre is an Associate Professor at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), specializing in immunological biochemistry and molecular allergy. She is part of the Section for Biologics Engineering and the Center for Translational Protein Design.

Her research focuses on discovering what makes a protein an allergen and developing new immunotherapies for allergy cross-reactivity contributing to global health initiatives aligned with UN SDG 3. She brings extensive expertise in antibody discovery, protein chemistry, and biophysics. She also serves as co-founder and CTO at AffinityAI, where she leads in vitro protein validation efforts.
